Prior to his admission to the NSW Bar, Guy worked for the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales where he conducted a broad and varied civil litigation practice. Guy made regular appearances in the Supreme Court, Local Court and the Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal in a range of matters including insurance and superannuation disputes, proceedings brought under consumer protection legislation, credit and banking law.
Guy was employed as a solicitor at Freehills for three years specialising in Industrial and Employment law. He provided oral and written advice to large corporate clients in relation to employment, industrial relations, discrimination and occupational health and safety issues. Guy was regularly involved in litigation in the Industrial Tribunals and the Federal Court.
Guy commenced has career as a solicitor working for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as a solicitor practising in the area of criminal law. Guy was regularly involved in the conduct of District Court jury trial matters. He also made regular appearances in the District Court in short criminal matters on behalf of the Crown.
