Dr Holger Sorensen is admitted to practice
in New South Wales, Victoria, ACT, New Zealand and Samoa.
His principal areas of practice are:

payroll tax, income tax, sales tax, CGT, GST)

Prior to commencing practice at the Sydney
Bar, Dr Sorensen was the Senior Solicitor (Investigations),
Special Prosecutor's Office, Sydney (Gyles QC - now
Justice Gyles of the Federal Court). The SPO was set
up to investigate and charge persons involved in "bottom
of the harbour" tax schemes.
His earlier practise experience was as
a partner in a Melbourne law firm, a Crown Counsel (Crown
Law Office, New Zealand), and a solicitor (Inland Revenue
Department, Head Office, Wellington).
Dr Sorensen is a contributor of articles
published in Taxation in Australia, the Law
Society Journal and Australian Tax Review.
He is a part-time lecturer (post-graduate programme)
at the Faculty of Law, University of Technology, Sydney.
