Rashelle has been at the Bar since 1996, originally
in Brisbane where she was a member of Sir Harry Gibbs Chambers
and, since 2000, in Sydney as a member of Ground Floor Wentworth
Chambers. Prior to coming to the Bar Rashelle was Associate
to a Federal Court Judge. Before her move into the
law Rashelle was an investment banker and developed considerable
expertise in fixed interest securities, structured finance,
derivatives and other financial products.
Rashelle's principal area of practice is Revenue
Law. She maintains a diverse tax practice involving opinion
work and court work including administrative review, recovery
proceedings, crime and professional negligence in tax related
matters . The practice of revenue law also necessitates a
thorough understanding of commercial law including bankruptcy.
