Committed to working in partnership with his instructing lawyers to develop the best strategies to achieve their legal and commercial imperatives, Charles advises and/or appears for a range of institutions including banks, law, accounting and consulting firms, medical practices and insurance and pharmaceutical companies, in interlocutory applications and hearings, at first instance and on appeal in all jurisdictions around Australia.
Charles also provides advice for clients in the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
Before he was called to the Bar, Charles practised as a senior lawyer in the in-house litigation department at Ernst & Young, where his practise focused on corporate collapses (director duties, shareholder class action claims), employment law, tax fraud and auditor negligence. He also gained significant experience as a solicitor in major law firms, including Minter Ellison, Henry Davis York and Abbott Tout.
