Gina was called to the Bar in 2020 and has experience in both Australia and U.S. general commercial litigation and equity matters representing individuals, small to medium businesses and Fortune 500 corporations. Gina has appeared in federal and state courts including courts of appeal in the U.S. and Australia. Since 2021, Gina has regularly appeared unled in NCAT and the Local Court as well as in the District and Supreme Court and also appeared unled in the Federal Court and the Federal Circuit and Family Court. Gina has also appeared in the WA Mining Court.
Gina accepts briefs in all areas of the law. In her first year as a barrister, she has appeared in strata disputes, intellectual property, payroll tax, dividing fences, professional disciplinary, contract and construction matters, as well as partnership disputes.
Gina has also conducted multiple defended legally aided criminal and family law hearings and regularly appears in sentencing matters and defending ASIC prosecutions. Gina is a member of the Junior Counsel External Panel for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and on the Private Briefing Panel for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (NSW). She was junior counsel in several high -profile murder trials with her second tutor, Deputy Senior Crown Prosecutor.
Gina also assists with s 128 advices and serves as a duty barrister. Gina is a member of the New Barristers Committee and taking part in a pilot mentoring program with law students through the NSW Bar and recently participated in the Bar’s Refugee Advice & Casework project.
Prior to coming to the bar, Gina worked as an associate at a top tier law ﬁrm on Australia’s largest ﬁnancial crime matter.
In the U.S, where Gina practiced for almost 10 years, she was a senior litigation associate at a top 10 law ﬁrm, Weil Gotshal and Manges representing clients such as General Electric, American Airlines and the National Football League. Prior to joining Weil, Gina served as a prosecutor in Miami.
Gina also worked on President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 Presidential Campaigns and President Biden’s 2020 Presidential Campaign.
