Mark Robinson is a barrister based in Sydney, Australia. He is engaged in trial and appellate advocacy and provides written opinions. He was first admitted as a barrister in December 1987. He practises in the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia and the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory Courts and Tribunals. He has a General Practice and also practises in Administrative Law (Government Law) and in Commercial, Equity and Criminal jurisdictions.

Mark is a barrister of the Sydney Bar in General Practice. He also practises in Administrative Law and in Commercial, Equity and Criminal Law.

He is also :

author of New South Wales Administrative Law, a 2 volume looseleaf service (first published in November 1996) by Lawbook Co.
Title Editor of the Laws Of Australia - Administrative Law Volumes published by Lawbook Co.
Section Editor of the Corporations Law Section of the Australian Journal of Administrative Law published by Lawbook Co.
A Director of Counsels Chambers Limited and Chairman of that Board's Technology Committee (CCL provides accommodation, internet data and telephony services to hundreds of barristers). See the commemorative booklet for the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Wentworth Chambers held on 10 August 2007,
a Member of the Administrative Law Committee of the Federal Litigation Section of the Law Council of Australia,
a former part-time Judicial Member of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal of New South Wales (from 1999 to 2005). Decisions of the Tribunal are published Here and Here, and,
a former Lecturer in undergraduate Administrative Law at the Faculties of Law of the University of Sydney (2002, 2003 and 2007) and the University Of New South Wales (1993 to 1997).

Prior to full-time practice at the Bar, Mark worked :

for 5 years as a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with Mallesons Stephen Jaques in the Canberra and Sydney offices;
for a year as the Legal Assistant to the Solicitor-General for New South Wales, Mr Keith Mason QC, now Justice Mason, President of the NSW Court of Appeal;
for 2 years as the Senior Legal Research Officer with the Justices of the High Court of Australia in Canberra; and,
as a Consultant and Legal Officer at the NSW Law Reform Commission (Also at Austlii, here)
