Dr. Holger Sorensen is admitted to practice in New South wales, Victoria, ACT, New Zealand and Samoa.
Prior to commencing practice at the Sydney Bar, Dr. Sorensen was Senior Solicitor (Investigations), Special Prosecutor's Office, Sydney (Gyles QC - now Justice Gyles of the Federal Court). The SPO was set up to investigate and charge persons involved in "bottom of the harbour" tax schemes.
His earlier practise experience was as a partner in a Melourne law firm, a Crown Counsel (Crown Law Office, New Zealand), and a solicitor (Inland Revenue department, Head Office, Wellington).
Dr. Sorensen is a contributor of articles published in Taxation in Australia, the Law Society Journal and Australian Taxation Revue. He is a part-time lecturer (post-graduate program) and the Faculty of Law, University of Technology, Sydney.
